Shades?

Following my Discworld theme, I think that this shot reminds me of the shades and the mended drum in particular.
If you haven't read Terry Pratchett this will be meaningless to you, so sorry for that, please just enjoy the image instead.

Now for the what I did bit.
This shot is basically an HDR and tone mapped image. However as this was also a very rare moment of blue sky, I wanted to try and capture that, so it is merged with a straightforward single exposure conversion done in Capture One.
I have loaded both those as variants.

The thing that attracted me to the image is the great texture in the tiled roof in the foreground. The half timbered building behind adds to that aged character.

Yes I agree with the "Ping" in No 3 , great expression, all 3 good shots, but No 3 has the edge.

1 for me im afraid, That to me is The hdr used well and an improvement over the origenal, I find 3 overdone.
Great shot anyway as the photo is good in its own right

A superb image Jon, I'm liking the roof tiles in the fg too, well composed, good sky, it has the lot! - V1 for me though!
