My Hellebores (which normally hang their heads) are so full of bud this year that the first flower on each spray has been pushed upright as you can see from the moisture drops.
The dreaded chicken pox has caught up with the twins so yet another little blip on my time as they are now home from school!
My grateful thanks to you all for your kind comments and votes.
A beautiful hellebore, Carole, and now nice to see one head raised, they are such shy little blooms . Perfectly presented, as always. Carol
A wonderful delicate image the colour is beautiful
How lovely to see their heads up
Lovely details and glorious range of green shades. Good luck with the twins. My Granddaughter caught the Chicken Pox some months back. Not a lot of fun all round!
Superb shot in everyway
They make such excellent subjects at this time of the year when the garden is otherwise fairly colourless: I do love this greenish/yellow variety and you have captured this one so well, Carole.
The higher ISO has introduced some noise but it just adds to the slightly misty effect achieved with your processing.
A lovely image in every way.......they don't come much better than this.
Love this, Carole Lovely detail and tones, well presented.

Yes it seems to be a good year for hellebores
love the subtle green on this
I love the softness you have put into the image, yet you have retained the sharpness of the anthers! So suitable for this subject! A First Class Image!

Very nice hue on this carole.
I love the softness in the middle of the flower. Gorgeous greens.
Lovely shot Carole..and like the Background here
hope the twins are OK soon.
remember you two are off to Croatia next week!!!
This is absolutely stunning Carole !! I love the soft and gentle touch here !! Better chicken pox now than later - I got it at age 58 !! Nearly departed this life
Good luck with the pox - my twins woke up with it on 2 January 2012 - what a start to a new year!!!
A really lovely image.
Hope the twins are better soon.
Perhaps a sign of better days ahead Carole
I suppose if the twins are going to succumb to owt, beter to get it out of the way in one go
A beautifully worked image the soft pastel like hues adding to the charm.
This is so very visually pleasing, both in color and composition. Gorgeous work.
Beautiful soft green tones, Carole.

Stunning composition in green Carole. Some lovely delicate shades.
A very beautiful presentation, Carole
Sorry to hear about the Chicken Pox - I'll never forget having it when I were a lad, not very nice at all
Seems chicken pox is doing the rounds again my brothers grandchildren have it as well - this Hellebore is gorgeous and beautifully taken
Very nicely captured.
This is very pretty.
Lovely shot !!!.....gorgeous range of various green tones.........
A wonderful delicate image
Almost a mono in green, Carole. I like it a lot, it's so beautiful.
Very VERY good image Carole, wonderful feel to this one, and a very well composed piece of Work all round.
Beautiful image i seem to remember that these are a christmas flower but i could be wrong
A breath taking image of this blossom-- like your limited palette!
This is so very beautiful. Green flowers have a strange, eerie feel. Green is after all the colour of magic, of the fairy world. And it runs right through the frame here.
Beautifully captured, a lovely colour and the background noise or not looks like a chosen texture
toning so well with the flower.
Very, very beauiful Carole.
A lovely and delicate image.
Beautifully composed Carole - and I do like all those green shades. Mine are about to open up, so I hope to get some good specimens like these.
A soothing image that is a pleasure to view.
Absolutely beautiful Carol
Wonderful. Well deserved awards.
A beautiful image Carole, hopefully this is a reminder that spring is just around the corner
What a dreamy shot, Carole
