Mike - it's her statement, and one that I've read before. I suggest reading THIS article.

Part of the new puritanism is to criminalise things that will go on anyway: better out in the open, regulated and safe(r) than driven underground and made into a profit area for organsied crime.

It's really hard for some people to decide where to stand I'm inclined to think that we should be less restrictive of what people do to earn a living. And, to put it into context, there are many, many acts in the world of ordinary 'legitimate' work that are morally very dubious. Any time someone says 'I was only following orders' they are saying that they did something they thought was wrong under coercion... The delivery driver who skips breaks to cheat the tachograph, the salesman who gives a backhander, the supervisor who ignores legitimate complaints and doesn't address safety issues...

The colour red was very well chosen for the shot, John. Very nicely lit too.
I do like the tattoo too, I do...

A bright red colour in any image always draws the eye to that area so you have my attention right away. The tattoo does not bother me, each to his or her own. You always seem to manage to get great skin tones and this is no exception.

I very much agree with Ian here about the color red, it takes the attention. Good shot.

"It's really hard for some people to decide where to stand I'm inclined to think that we should be less restrictive of what people do to earn a living. " True - and also, in most cases, it is not my place to make an assessment of what others do unless that individual asks me to do so. Were that to occur - and it never has - I would ask them how they feel about themselves over what they do. But this is a photographic website not one for ethical discussions! I like the image, its technique and concept.

The ethics matter: they're a part of working with models, for one thing.

How would I judge (would I judge?) a model who was also an escort? Would I know?

'Sex work' includes anything where an individual uses their 'erotic capital' to earn money, as an athlete uses 'physical ability' to do so. And as others use intellectual ability to make a living.

But what - I hope you ask yourself - of the graduate engineers who head off to ccity firms to make a lot of money from playing hte markets?

“Prejudice, a dirty word, and faith, a clean one, have something in common: they both begin where reason ends.”
― Harper Lee,

It may not be the prettiest tattoo anybody ever had but it's a statement that is very important to the person wearing it.
The person wearing it is a very lovely, very considerate and very hard working young lady.
I've met plenty of horrible people in far more "reputable" professions. I know who i'd prefer to sit and cave a cup of tea with.
Lovely image John.
