Shaggy Ink Cap

By maryg
I have been on a mushroom hunt for the past few weeks and have got quite a collection. This one was growing in the middle of a hill road made with granite chippings. I went back this week and every one has gone.
V1 I managed to isolate one from the groups.
V2 Just a shot of the road up to Dunleaccain. Ifyou look you can see the mushrooms growing in the middle of the road. I know it's not a very interesting shot as there is so much road but I just wanted to show how they managed to survive .
Thanks for looking and for comments on my creepy crawly upload.
Regards Mary

I nearly uploaded a Shaggy Ink Cap today, in just about the same condition, just past it! If you collect them when there about 1" - 2" tall and fry them in butter, and if you like it with a little bit of garlic, they can be very tasty....Well done on your V1 pic it has great detail....B
