Shaggy Pholiota

By chase
Pholiota squarrosa found on a trip, with my 5 year old Grandson, to a local woodland yesterday, just before the heavens opened.
I got down and dirty, he just stood there, laughing at me !!
Usually found in dense clusters at the base of trees. The tree was camera left, Daylight camera right.
Not edible.

Thought I would have a go at this stacking malarky, particularly as the light was pants and the bg was not great either.

Raw files converted in Lightroom, fingers crossed, then12 images stacked and processed in Photoshop.
I used a small gold reflector to shove some light...what there was.... onto the stems.

Thanks for dropping by.
Constructive critique and mods welcome.
Janet xx

Cracking! Your area seems full of little fungal gems! You must have eagle eyes.
You speak as though this is your first bash at stacking. How come you got it so good straight away??

Thanks everyone.
Many thanks for your UA Patricia, appreciated.

Fiona, this was indeed my first go at stacking, just thought about where F2.8 would miss/hit and took a load of frames with my fingers crossed WinkI thought, well, if it works it works if not..try again Smile Reckon this particular 'shroom suits the process.
I did do a couple more of different fungi, I have yet to 'stack' them and see what happens.
I suppose it was a bit experimental but 'if you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got' guess I got lucky.
