Shot captured last Saturday afternoon while out birding at the Salina nature reserve.
Shooting against the sun for most of the afternoon, I was tracking this Herring Gull in my viewfinder as it took off from the shallows, and shot a quick burst as it arose catching the sun's rays ..... I was quite impressed with this particular frame, the low backlighting capturing the Gull as it shook off the water droplets. Sometimes it is amazing what the camera/lens combo manage to capture usually unseen to the naked eye - this is one such instance. Again quite pleased with this in flight action shot.
Viewing large draws you into the action.
