Shall we go for a paddle, then?

By TrevBatWCC
Walking a bit further alongside the River Windrush in Bourton on the Water, I came across these two ducks contemplating whether to go into the deeper than usual water! I'm sure they were following me around, as I have two identical ducks in two or three other shots…
There are a total of five small bridges crossing the river, most constructed in the 16th & 17th centuries, but the one in V2 was built in 1911 to a similar design in keeping with the other bridges.
In V3 & V4 you can see where the high river level covers where the footpath dips down.

Single Raw images processed in Adobe Camera Raw 7, tweaked in Photomatix Pro 4 and Photoshop Elements 11.

Thanks again to everyone for your votes & comments on my previous uploads, it really is appreciated and encouraging.

A set of shots that combine into a great reportage, Trev. Well-chosen viewpoints especially for V3 and V4 show the unusually high water well.
I suspect the ducks are worrying over the depth of water, too!

As I've said so many times, Trev, your processing is second to none, and these images show it. Carol

These images are inspiring - you have taken your processing to an art form and they are so realistic that it takes little imagination for the viewer to feel like they are there.

Superb set of images Trev, all inspiring

So many Cotswold villages are so picturesque, and Bourton must rank away near the top.
Recently there have been adverts on TV obviously captured in another beautiful Cotswold village......Castle Combe.
The ducks can't make up their mind, but my mind is made up........must visit there again one day soon.
A fine set showing off the beauty of the riverside scenes here, Trev.

A charming set of images of this picturesque Cotswold village, v3 being my favourite. It looks like you enjoyed your stay in the Venice of the Cotswolds, a place I know really well
