Shards of Light

By brian1208
I'm still experimenting with my bubble photography, working on a series of images for use in the Gallery during the year, to present something totally different from my usual subjects.

These shots reminded me of examples of Japanese Silks and Cloisonne so I decided to present them in a way I have seen in Japan, as a composite of four separate images into a single mount.

I'm pleased with the result but wondered what you may make of it?

(Each segment is from a single bubble about 4" diameter shot in an enclosed black box with a port on the right side through which I shone three halogen lights. I need to find a more powerful light source to get the ISO down and shutter speed up, probably combining one halogen for focus then a flash for light intensity)

Hi Brian I have been trying this to only I am using an about 6 inch square bubble mix holder and a 300 watt studio light, no an easy play but great when it works Smile

Thanks for joining me Charlotte, the flat plane of the film must be a lot easier you focus on but still, as you say, not easy - but isn't it fun
I think you have created a great image which really makes me look, love what you have achieved.
