Sharp Ice Skates or Toad Killing Feet

By Ade_Osman
Blown away by yesterday's reaction to my Bittern upload, so thought I go with another for today, this was the closest this beautiful bird came to me and is a full frame image, I even managed to to change the ISO down to 400 as the light improved just a little. Couldn't decide on a suitable title though, so gave it two. Probably one of the best shots from the session although I'm hanging on to a couple more for this months EPZ Nature Competition Not that I'll be lucky enough to win it, but as I said yesterday, it always worth a punt.

Thanks to everyone for their very kind comments on yesterday's image, I'll be busy most of the day with the Living Room redecoration project, but will try and pop in and see what everyone else has been up to at various times of the day.....

Regards to all.....Ade

Stunningly sharp capture here. The bird's expression is amazing (can birds have expressions)?

An absolute stunner, Ade - expecially with that little hint of movement blur on the lifted foot. Superb eye, plumage detail and patterning. Swap for a Spotted flycatcher or Goldcrest WinkSmile
