Shattered Cross

By sherlob
Thanks for the votes and comments on yesterdays upload. For todays image we are off to Spinalonga Island (Crete). A former Leper colony, but with a history that goes much further - its now a tourist destination, but one that is worth the visit. This image fails to capture the sense a sense of scale - rather I hoped to emphasise the concept of falling. In reality the cross, which is made of mirrored glass, is approx 10-12m tall and is fixed to the cliff that borders the harbour.

Hope you have a great Sunday.

Adam

Cant tell from the image that the cross is that big, or that it is upright.
It does look like its falling to the ground but not landed yet so is still intact. Like the effect though,
very clever.
