For some Saturday shadows, an untypical picture from a couple of days ago.
Shell has magnificent tattoos, and an exceptional physique for a woman in her forties. We mainly shot well-lit (to show the ink) nudes (ditto).
However, we were also trying to do as many different things as we could - hence htis low-key and shadowy shot.
This used studio flash (a couple of elderly Courtenay units that a friend recently donated to SS Creative Studios, rather than putting htem in a skip) in a room flooded with daylight: not at all my natural environment, because the modelling lights give no idea of what's happening: you have to take the picture and look. Where you're dealing with subtle angles and strong shadow, this is a particular problem: I prefer using flash in a blacked out studio.
The background is, oddly enough, a white infinity curve - just a good way back and not separately lit.
But it worked, which is a delight, always.
