SHEW

By JawDborn
Veteran car at Beamish.

(Moira Woolybill found that SHEW stood for Seaham Harbour Engineering Works. Bill explained that at in the early 1900's many small garages built cars: there was even an article in a magazine giving instructions for readers on how to build their own car.

Thank you Moira and Bill)

A beautifully crafted bonnet/radiator grill. Very well observed and captured.

Of course, it might just be a typo - hard to correct on a beaten copper plate!
Thank you for posting this, Jack. You have taken the picture I have only thought about.

Great shot Jack. Someone gave my son a kit car to build. Still in the garage. One day! Cathy
