Shines Like A Diamond

Many thanks for your comments and votes on my previous upload. Special thanks too for all those who thought it worthy of a UA.
We are just back from a 2 week independent tour of Iceland. The scenery is spectacular, the light was at times wonderful but the weather was also extremely challenging. Strong winds being the worst to contend with, at times it wasn't possible to use a tripod and sea spray and blown sand caused difficulties. Of course non of this is apparent in the final images! This shot is one of the beautiful icebergs on Diamond Beach, some of them do seem to glow and are really blue.

Every photographer should visit Iceland, but yes, you take your chances with the weather. My nephew is not long back from a week of continuous heavy rain with no visibility Sad. Jokulsarlon is amazing and you have done it justice. I look forward to seeing more of your trip.

Agree with you on the weather, visited three times and this last time was in late September when the weather was awful it was awful BUT when the light was good it was brilliant. Quite a difference from the summer months. A superb image.
