This is the wreck of the Helvetia, caught in a storm on 1st November 1887 and washed ashore on Rhossili beach on the Gower coast, West Wales.
She was heavily laden with 500 tons of timber and managed to reach the safety of Rhossili Bay and dropped anchor in the shelter of Worm's Head but the storm changed direction during the night, she dragged anchor and became shipwrecked.
Taken yesterday, it wasn't the best of sunsets, I would've prefered it without that big dark cloud obscuring the colours but I had to make do with the cards I was dealt as they say.
