Shipwreck, North Berwick: The Sea Safari run RIB boat trips from North Berwick to see the Lamb, Craigleith and Bass Rock, and back along the coastline to hear about the South Carr shipwreck sites, Tantallon Castle and the secret wartime base at Gin Head.
The boat is moored at sea to a buoy, anchored by a chain to the seabed. It broke free last night and finished up on the beach, dragging the buoy and a section of the mooring chain with it. It was successfully re-floated later the next day with the high tide.
The boat is fast with twin 300HP engines making 600 HP in total. It is capable of 50 knots fully laden, but the trip speed is 25 knots which is fast enough for a boat! The bow lifts out of the water, and off she goes! Wonderful sensation. No spray!

Boats have personality... and want to be unchained...
Obviously stormy weather you have out there...
Many greetings!

Lucky it broke free on the incoming tide and was washed up on the beach.
Would have been awkward if she'd been taken out to sea.
Nice set Ian.

A really lovely set, and commentary. V1 is my preference today.

Good job it didn't go up on those rocks. Nice set, Ian, and I rather like version one, with the figure sitting on the side.

That’s a great set Ian. What a relief they managed to re float it.
