Shooting stars

Happy New Year everyone.
I'm not one for New Year resolutions - but I intend to keep noticing new things in ordinary places - which is why I come to this upload. A star on a door - but because I used the flash I got this wonderful distorted pattern in the glass - I've used the burn tool to emphasise those darks in the glass
v2 is the coloured version
Thanks for looking and for your friendship and support over another year on epz SmileSmileSmile

The reds convert wonderfully to b&w. V1 is so much stronger!

Its funny how we differ on likes and dis-likes ! both images are good in there own right. The mono version a strong image with good tones. To me the focul point is the cross with berries but the berries seem to be lost in within, the colour version they burst back into life. Perhaps a new version is possible to colour pop the berries in the mono. Like them both tend to go with the colour version.

B&W. It makes me think mingling people in the distorted glass......Sandy

They are each lovely in their own way, but v2 is so much more festive and in keeping with the season. V1 is nearly abstract, which isn't a bad thing, but doesn't speak as clearly of the subject.

Happy New Year to you Helen.

A good resolution on your part Smile I think I'm going to have to go with colour today - I do love those reflections in the glass.
