Shot on the day she left

By pablophotographer
Shot indoors during a relatively bright day. No flash, all of the light came from the window. The sun was on the other side of the building. The person seen a couple of seconds ago was singing in another position. The camera was his and this was a moment of thinking. Looking at it, I see I got his ear, as well as his full elbow chopped, but this was shot as an impromptu image, rather than a studio shot. I am glad I captured his expression right there. The blue can on the window sill is the only bit of striking colour - all the other colours look bleak, bleak as a separation can be. I am not sure if depicting his I reflect on what I fear for mine. Thank you for the all coments. Update: Thanking Chrissie and Amotif for the User's awards!

Wonderful - you can 'read' his face beautifully.

It's part of the frame deliberately.... I think there was orange juice in the glass, I remember zooming but leaving the ambiguity of alcohol consumption there.

interesting portrait and good use of the available light but I find the beads and the container above the elbow distracting.
