Superb capture of winter sun. Good processing in V1, but the crop's too close for me, I prefer the distance in V2.

Love the contrast between the warmer summit and the colder foreground.

I like V1 for the closeness & also the feel of warmth from the sun hitting the peak & turning those rocks into a wonderful bronze colour, which is a complete contrast to the rest of the image...chilly.

Thanks everyone

Moira and hilary....the crop was an accident!! Don't ask..please.

Dawn....Get in there. On landscapes where there's not much rush, except when the suns rushing off,try the Live View mode AND manual and mess about with the speed and apertures and see what is happening LIVE ...it's great.

Cheers,
Keith

The sky is fine in V1 Keith, too much would have dtracted from the main part of the shot

Thanks again to everyone.

Can I say again that No2 is ONLY to show the sky as it came out of the camera and the crop was only minimal and really is not an issue.

Graham..Thanks for the Mod...like the sky but I dissagree with "stretching" the image as it distorts the actual view.

Malcolm...thanks for agreeing about the sky.I had some other shots that showed more or less how it was...I was just not talented enough to get the main detail AND the sky all in one shot.

Cheers,
keith
