Shutter Shadows

By pamelajean
Firstly, I was surprised and naturally very happy to receive User Awards on my Cartoon Shadow from Helen (helenlinda), Moira (mrswoolybill), Ann (EAS), Malc (saltireblue) and Michaela (Michaela_Solway), so thankyou all so much.

Here is my contribution to Saturday Shadows, taken in the little village of La Pinilla in Spain. There was very little else of photographic interest there.
Quite a typical window grille in Spain, though some are more ornate than others. I assume they are for security, but they're also very attractive.
2 versions for you.

They are indeed for security. They are called Rejas and they are obligatory on ground floor windows. These ones are very fancy and have created some beautiful shadows, very well captured of course.
