lovely shot, i do not think that it is a disadvantage as we can not see her face, but compositionally the image could have improved if you had taken a different angle so that you could have kept the highlighted building at the background outside the frame( because it has a distraction ), i guess the bench at the foreground was vacant, so if i were you i would have included the bench completely placing the girl on the third, and took the picture from a distance or by employing 18 mm focal length, changing my position, just an opinion,

The key to any candid is to have something "interesting" to look at - so you've got to be honest with yourself and ask "is this an interesting shot"
Do you think it is?
Interesting can be anything that holds your interest.
I'd say it's pretty well put together, but is there enough for my interest... well I like the little bear on her bag, and the fact she's looking into the distance, but the lower part doesn't really add a great deal for me, so I've done a crop to completely change the feel of the shot.
It concentrates on the view we guess she's looking at

Ade has said it all. She might actually have ear ache. The image content lacks interest, and you must have that. I honestly can't suggest an improvement with what you have here - if her head had been slightly towards the camera showing much of the face, it could be a different story.
Candid photography is great fun, but many fail.
