Silent Sentinels

Few people ventured out on the common after the heavy snow, but those who did discovered a winter wonderland dominated by trees: white, silent and beautiful.

Hi Viv - yes a winter wonderland, lovely set! I like V1 very much but am also drawn to V2 - something about the empty bench? The colour from the fg tree anchors the shot and draws the eye right into the scene - like it Smile

The snow may be a right pain, but it sure gives us some lovely shots. I loathe the stuff, but was totally gobsmacked when I went out the other morning and caught the sunrise on it. Have never viewed snow like this before. Anyway you have 3 beauties here, I really love V3. Moira

Excellent set of images Viv, each one would make a lovely Christmas Card. However, if I had to choose a favourite then V3 would get my vote as it tells more of a story, you know what I'm like Viv (lol). I will not bore you with the story I have gained from this image, unless you really want me to and of course there will be a small fee involved.
There is a good Christmassy feel about these images, very well done Viv!

Have grown to like snow less and less with each day it lies around, but it certainly does something special decorating trees! Your image is lovely.
