What a little charmer, Ed, and settling for you on such a pleasing perch. Very well captured. Carol

Never easy to get close too and I can see why you want folk to try and mod it.......Still a worthy capture though Ed...

Fine shot Ed. Just seems to be lacking a spot of contrast on the butterfly IMO.

It certainly looks like a very difficult butterfly to capture, with the coating, and youve done well.

Theres an overall green cast that Ive removed in the mod, and tried to give the insect an opportunity to stand out a little more with a crop, noise reduction, sharpening and contrast. Ive not seen one of these, so I dont know if Ive done it any justice.

Well captured, Ed. You have a knack for capturing these little fellers!
Do think Neil's mod looks sharper, but have never seen that butterfly so don't know how true the mod is.

superb shot, always difficult with butterflies - focus and they are gone

Many thanks to Neil and Willie for their great mods it is much appreciated. The increase in saturation is has certainly brought out the bright orange colour in this butterfly, Ed

Cracking capture, Ed, I know how elusive thee are to capture. Super duo of shots, especially on the bracken.
