Simple Saltburn

By MrsS
Having had a REALLY long day on Saturday, we were both more than a little reluctant to get up at 3.30am for a second day running on Sunday, and even reset the alarm to give us both a whole two hours extra!

After lying there for about 5 mins, we both decided to "go for it" and dragged our weary bones off to Saltburn, as it was on Paul's "list" of places to go.

30sec @f11 ISO100 Paul's Cokin filters.

This is a 30sec exposure to slow down the water, as there was a lot of rubbish being washed up on the beach.

Taken at 04:51 am

I'm glad we made the effort, hope you are too Smile

Have a gr8 day - - off to collect the dog, catch up on household chores, but generally to chill out and recharge the batteries (Nick, please note! Tongue)

Cheers All
Fran xx

PS - - a big thank you to MrS for doing all the driving (although I do realise it's just cos you don't want to be a passenger when I'm driving!) Wink

Well Fran, this has to be in your very best of the best list of your images. Beautiful composition with the rocks in just the right spot. The colours are nicely soft yet still vibrant, great long tones in the water, and the finishing touch the line of colour along the horizon and under the pier. Excellent work throughout.

AAll the very best and congratulations on a stunner,

LARGE is a must.

Love this shot, Fran. The smoothness of the water blends nicely with the tones in the sky.
