Greetings all,
Once again I'm delighted to have had a lovely reaction to my Coal tit upload, a big thanks to everyone who took part.
Theres a short story with tonights upload. I hope you have time to read and thenenjoy this image.
I spent some time on our plot this morning, after doing the usual chores, weeding, watering etc. I decided to try and get an image of a Wren that has been patrolling around the plot and singing his head off. Talk about an awkward little beast, whenever he perched it was always with the sun right in my face and he was thus rendered as a silhouette. To make matters even worse in the background was a shiny greenhouse. In the very bright morning sun, it was a difficult shot to attempt exposure wise but not one to give in I got this image.
Note how the far leg and the edges of his beak are almost translucent with the bright light. In fact I think you can see a vein running down the leg.
This shot was also hand held, so I'm very happy that it is sharp, the VR on this lens is second to none.
I was able to get a viewable image with some careful work in Adobe RAW processor, and finished in Photoshop. I hope you think it was worth the effort, thanks for looking.
