Since their arrival on our local skyline, the wind turbines near to Gilmorton - Leicestershire have created quite a 'stir' with the locals. Comments of noise, visual intrusion and uselessness are but a few, but what is your take on these structures of wonderment?

My images to follow over the next few days were shot to capture what I beleive to be their elegance in function and hopefully show how they really do have a purpose in todays society. Don't get me wrong, I'm not an eco warrior by any stretch of the imagination but harnessing the might of one of earths largest energies for our distribution is the right way forward in my view, oh, and I really wouldn't want to be bobbing up and down on a boat to go see them either!

No trees or animals were harmed in the siting of these structures, or in their photgraphic capture!

Comments please........
