I was up with the lark this morning and I thought I'd see if I could get some shots of this species before the land they're on gets planted with 2000 houses. A real shame as it was part of a farm and has been left to grow over for years attracting many species of birds and insects.
Planning permission was thrown out 3 times before the government decided to wave through virtually any application to 'boost the economy'. Soon they'll be no green space left for humans or wildlife but the politicians will be rich so that's all that matters of course. We could do with a few more cars around here as well as the road is only grid-locked for and hour or so each day with folk trying to get to work!
On a brighter note, many thanks once again for all the c & c's and especially those who felt fit to give user awards who've all been thanked personally. The Red Squirrel was a popular little chap.
