Slash of Rape

Duffus, Moray, Scotland.
Some of the very finest agricultural land exists in the extreme north of scotland in morayshire where the coastal regions provide bumper harvests. Recently rape crops, in some ways repugnant but visually astounding, have made an appearance appearing as a slash of vivid yellow against the later developing wheat fields still in their green shoot phase.

Wonderful composition with the lines of colous across the fields. The cloudy drama in the sky all helps this very simple image burst to life with the light hitting the slash of yellow. Fine work as ever Ian.
