Sledges and Clematis

Something a bit more gentle today, I do not think there are any ghostly going's on in Clovelly..........but then again maybe there is Wink

Clovelly is a beautiful little village in North Devon,it is about half a mile from the top to bottom where there is a lovely little harbour and beach. There are no car's here (although there is a service road at the back for access to the hotel at the bottom) .
Residents of Clovelly all own the sledges you see propped against the walls here.....these are to transport supplies from the residents car park at the top to their homes and the businesses.
It must be a totally idyllic place to live, but I would hate bulk buy day TongueTongueTongue

Having a very dodgy knee at the moment the trip here took me all day to walk from top to bottom and back.....but I did it! And the very slow walk with lots of rest's gave a chance for lots of photosWinkGrin

Delightful, Diane! Smile Love places like this, and with their cobbled streets, though not the easiest or most comfortable to walk on. And, as you say, must be a nightmare carrying one's shopping up a hill like this! Wink Looks good and suits the mono treatment, but think I have to choose colour as my fave Smile
