Sligachan Bridge...

By Scottishlandscapes
...the old bridge is much prettier than the new more practical version, which carries the traffic on the Portree road around Skye.
The clouds tumble into the Cuillin Hills and bounce back up into the sky.

Magnificent clouds - the river looks as if it needs some rain.

Somewhere there's an old photo of me washing my hair in the water there in 1976. We were camping on Skye with some friends, all bachelors. There was the choice of the organised facilities at the camp site at Fairy Glen, or the field by the pub. Guess which the lads opted for...

Everyone seems to have camped there. For me it was 1980. Eventually driven off by rain and midges.

Spectacular scenery Dougie and an image that does it justice. For a change it looks bright and breezy unlike the dark moody images we are used to seeing from this spot.

The shadow side of the bridge adds real depth to the scene.
