Sligachan Cascades ...

By sut68
The Sligachan River, taken mid-afternoon on the beautiful Isle of Skye. You can see from this shot that we had to put up with some atrocious conditions when we were there Wink ... still, you just muddle on I suppose Grin

Just about to dish up dinner, so I'll catch up in a little while. Cheers for dropping by.

A vibrant shot Paul. I want to step right in now and experience that Skye weather!! Wonderful composition, but your shots always are and I learn a lot from looking at them.
Anyway, great image in what looks like the middle of the day, and it just goes to show that landscapes are there at all times of the day...and night!!!

You're absolutely right Dave, obviously dramatic or early/late light is more preferable, but middle of the day can still yield some worthy shots too.

Me too Martin, there was a nice strong flow so venturing out too far wasn't really possible.

Cheers guys,
Paul

Composition masterclass Paul. That large boulder contrasts nicely against the green hues of the water acting as the perfect anchor for the shot, making it easy to wander in and out of the shot, very nice indeed.

The river here is a magnet for photographers there are so many shot to be had. I always love to keep in Marsco ( on the right) it's such a wonderful different shape.
