Slippery When Wet

This is a picture I'm very fond of. It has the look of something that has been heavily manipulated but this is exactly what you see as you turn to come down from the look out area at the end of Bude breakwater. I’ve added a light touch of fractilius, cos I love what it does to the textures, tweaked it in curves and indulged in a little dodging and burning, but that’s all. The nearest relative to this in my PF would be ‘Pebbles In The Rain’ and I would dearly love to build up a series of these natural but slightly strange coastal landscapes, but they’re not that easy to spot.

A wonderful shot that's been well processed. You're right about the large version: I started to get woozy.

It is a brilliant find. Its curves and twists are like something out of an elf story book. I can imagine a little creature with pointed toes and hat walking up there any minute now
I love the effect on the stones.

Wild, improbable lines, so much more satisfying when something like this composition occurs for real. The filter is incidental to the picture's power, which is how I prefer it.

So real you can feel you're there (hanging on for all I'm worth Smile). The processing brings this out of the frame; excellent work.

Super. This works both at the 'weeird!!!!' level, and at the superb textures level. Composition is good, too! Wouldn't want to walk down it!

This is one of those deceptive shots where the thumbnail looks positively bland, but where the image blossoms when opened large. The textures and detail are impressive, and topped off nicely by the crazy vertigo inducing viewpoint.
