came across this slug in my garden,what caught my eye is the big hole in its side which closed when i got to close see in one of the images.

Slugs come in such a wonderful range of colours and patterns (I've only ever seen one Leopard Slug and didn't think to photograph it!! Sad). The ones with orange 'petticoats' are so pretty! You've caught this one brilliantly, the details are fantastic.

You probably already know, but the hole is its Pneumostome , where it breaths through! Smile
