A beautiful butterfly, brilliantly caught.

Is this a crop, or full frame? If a crop I think I would leave it a little more room on the right, but that is a minor point! Smile

I can understand why you've cropped so closely, but the background really doesn't bother me - it's its natural surroundings, plus it's all green so not drawing the eye away from the butterfly.

I agree about cropping off the right hand side (it's a shame the butterfly has settled to close to the shadow) - cropping right on the shadow would give a tiny bit more for the butterfly to move into. Be careful when sharpening your image for upload, too much can be as bad as not enough!! Smile

A lovely image though - I haven't had any Blues in my area this year!

both are good and the background as Karen says is natural so its fine
