SMILING EYES

By hobbo
On a Street Shoot in Stratford-Upon-Avon yesterday, I chanced upon a couple sitting on the pavement begging, although unkempt, they were dressed reasonably well.
I normally fight shy of what can be seen as taking advantage of vulnerability, but having studied the work on here of EPZ member Sawsengee, and after watching the Don Mcullin documentary the other day, I have decided to follow suit ....Street combined with Documentary, if you like.

My pre-shoot chat with them was interesting, both were more than happy to take my offer of a couple of pounds and cold drinks.
I have kept the lady separate because I could hardly believe the very real welcoming smile in her eyes and expression....she was so pleased that I had taken a little time in conversation with her.

Addictions, are so very cruel.

Despite the smile, the eyes do seem empty.
Seriously good street portrait, Hobbo.
