Irritable vowel and service revolver!!!

Dave @ cell 3, the Asylum

Love the angle and the comp is good.
Brian is right about the shutter speed, but I would suggest working your way down to 1/250th (and beyond) over time as your panning improves. Dialling in a slower shutter speed is going to result in blurred images if your panning technique needs work.
Also no one wants to come away from an airshow with no sharp shots so take a few at 1/1000th, then once you have some keepers lower it down to 1/400th which will give you some blur and see if you can still keep the aircraft sharp. If you get that to work start lowering it even further.
For helicopters you need to go even lower than that so a mono pod can help.
I shoot around 1/100th if I can, but I delete many more than I keep so don't get disheartened.
