Another chance to marvel at the irrepressible Gwendoline and Cyril doing their bonkers thing again.

I have included some versions largely with a view to reassuring Colin who expressed concern for poor Gwendoline's safety:
"I'm struggling to see where she's harnessed to the plane?
She is harnessed isn't she? ... Isn't she??
I need to be able to sleep tonight."
I did my best via a PM to reassure him that all was well but then doubted myself and began to worry. In a bid to provide reassurance and avoid an epidemic of sleep deprivation I am providing evidence that even when the wing walkers detach themselves from the pivoting harness which they use for the bulk of the display they are still attached to the rig with a length of cord. Frankly, the thought of it still gives me the willies and I can only conclude that there must be better ways of drying one's hair.

Many thanks for the delightful responses to the Christmas Card and sorry it was a bit last minute. Hurrah for the electronic carrier pigeons I say! May I also thank young Mr Woolybill for his seminal 'Fine art with Duck' Series. He has surpassed himself and I laughed so much I surpassed myself as well. (There may be a spelling error in there Blush )

With best wishes to all for the New Year and with thanks for a lorra lorra laughs, yours, subject to stress testing, Cyril Black and Cilla Joystick. SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmileSmile

Thank you for making us all smile in 2019.

Please also pass my thanks to Matron. She knows why.
Thank you Eric ... Graham ... Cyril ...(I'm so confused!) ...

Yes sleep patterns have been somewhat disturbed over the last 48 hours.

I'm very grateful for this follow up. I feel much better now and should hopefully sleep well tonight.

My wife has only today invested most of the NHS budget in some fancy new hairdryer. Had I realised sooner I would have recommended a spot of wing walking for her.

And thank goodness for your posting at this moment, as I need something to cheer me up as Spurs have just gone 2 - 0 down to Norwich.

Oh ...praise be! ... VAR has just ruled the second goal out!

But I may need to return to this posting again soon if things do get any worse.

I have just been passed the following note which I can only assume was intended for your eyes:

Please would you be so kind as to explain how Gwendoline manages to smoke while comporting herself lasciviously on the wing of an aeroplane. Her smoke appears to emanate from a concealed orifice; is is evidently so powerful that Cyril is compelled to take a back seat, out of its slipstream. There is no sign of Samantha so I must assume that the dastardly Sven is somehow involved.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Trellis (of North Wales)

Meanwhile I am left to enjoy your photographs while Gwendoline relaxes after her exertions and admires your enormous Canon......

A super set which shows if you pay a bit more you get a seat inside the plane. Mind you it makes for a great hairdryer when you are outside?

I am struck by two thoughts, thus doubling the number of thoughts received in the year of our Brian, 2019.
Having spent the night ruminating (it is not illegal - pray google the meaning), I have finally managed to decipher said two thoughts without forgetting one of them. Worse was keeping them apart and not getting the integral bits mixed up.

Firstly, I am led to understand, having perused several written tomes on the matter, that smoking is bad for ones 'elf. I have therefore designated one room i the attic as smoking-free, and my elf has, somewhat unwillingly, moved in there from his more spacious accommodation in the cellar. A request for a suitable deduction in his rent was turned down due to the extra cost involved in redecoration of the new accommodation.

Secondly, it would appear the mystery of the origin of the smoke is a mere red herring to take our minds away from the fact that Cyril's compass is broken, kaput, no more, an ex-compass, it is in fact, deceased. Gwendoline is therefore assisting by pointing out to Cyril in which direction they should fly - a kind of limb-operated sat-nav, if one will. Cyril merely has to follow the direction of the extended limb and before you know it, they will be sitting in the front parlour toasting muffins and sipping a cup of newly-brewed Earl Grey.

Great fun - the comments, not the flying. Although I suppose there must be some pleasure up there. I can't imagine they just do it for the money.

Marvelous, marvelous, marvelous, young Graham.
Wonderful images of the intrepid Gwen and Cyril. I must ask though,
upon who's shoulders were you standing when you took them. The vantage point
seems quite unique. One again, thank you for all of the chuckles, giggles and guffaws.
Look after yourself and give my regards to Matron.
Enjoy the Ovaltine and have a spiffing weekend.
