Smouldering

Good Afternoon All

Hope you are all having a good weekend. So far today we have had a dry, sunny (at times) and a moderately windy day - good for getting washing dry! Grin All the rain we have had so far though has totally ruined the flowers in the garden, although our tomato plants are growing like triffids!!

My picture today was taken at Leeds Castle in April, when all the beautiful Tulips were out in bloom. It was a sunny day, and the Tulip was quite tall, in a little shade, and I took this shot looking straight down at it. The vibrant red colour really caught my eye, and I love the smoky colour inside the bloom. Hope you like it!

Many thanks for your votes and comments on my last upload, Rusted & Crusted, as ever, they are always very much appreciated Grin

Have a good rest of the weekend, we are off next week, sadly not somewhere in the sun, have booked a couple of nights in Canterbury, so look out for Canterbury Cathedral uploads in the near future Grin

Take care, and thank you so much for taking the time to look Grin

Love Julie xx

The shot from above looking down into the cup offers challenges with exposure but you seem to have coped well, Julie: nice shot from an earlier time.

Really vibrant colour and excellent focus, Jukie.
I believe the weather has been good for wild flowers and disastrous for cultivated flowers. It hasn't been too good for humans!
Have a wonderful stay in Canterbury, it's a terrific place to explore.

You've captured some fabulous colour on this tulip Julie - and I like the pov. A super bright image for another dull day.... Hope you have a good week off. My fingers are crossed for some sunshine for you both.
