Snap Out Of It

By LynneJoyce
Pardon the dreadful pun in the title but I thought it appropriate since living alone under house arrest is really starting to get to me and taking and editing 'snaps' is one way of occupying my time.

These were taken in Hirst Woods and in the immediate vicinity of my house, all while I was taking my exercise walking the dogs. I was horrified to see that the Bittersweet, Scientific name: Solanum dulcamara, featured in V's 3 and 11 has been pulled up by some idiot. I'm so glad that I got the photographs before it was desecrated.

I couldn't resist a little jiggery pokery and, feeling the need for some liquid anaesthetic, I featured the tinkered with image as the opener. The rest speak for themselves I hope.

Thank you for viewing and I hope that you enjoy at least some of these images.

A moor interesting collection of wild flowers---I rather like the curled up honey suckle images--

Also--was surprised to learn that what you are calling Bittersweet is indeed often called Bittersweet---something which we always called Nightshade-- or Deadly Nightshade--- one in the same plant!

Yes, it's a good time to edit 'snaps' and have a fiddle with a bit of digital jiggery-pokery! 😃 Excellent collection here, Lynne, hard to choose a fave... 👍

Your processing at the lead image is so good, and I'd have a sip of that wine any day, and the bottle would be kept and treasured.
What a fine selection of botanical images, and the foxgloves must rate as one of my favourites.
There's always some idiot on the loose destroying nature's beauty, but good that you got the shots in advance.
