Hi Billy,
I think that there's a really good shot in there, it just needs a little help!
This looks very blue, which is causing it (I think) to look a little flat.
I've uploaded a mod., in which I've tried to 'unblue' it a bit using, firstly the colour balance tool and then reducing the blue channel in curves.
I also used threshold curves to increase the contrast (possibly a little too much), all of which in turn has made the orange stronger.
Finally, I sharpened it slightly.
I'm sure that there's a still better result to be had from this.
All done using CS5.
Hope this helps.

Bren.

The third mod is the best image. Your original is a little flat and needs some sharpening. You give us no details, so it is difficult to be sure, but i assume the long end of a fairly long lens? hence contrast loss and a bit of softness.

The trick with this one William is that the far background needed a circular polarizer fitted to the lens to reduce glare, increase contrast and colour.

The near image is the boat is decent, though you should sharpen before you upload.

In solving this in post processing, you need in fact to look at the far bank as a separate image to the sea and boat, and treat each one differently.

Ive done this is the mod. It looks similar, but a little different to Brens, due to the different treatment of each area. Ive also reduced saturation, which was a little high.

regards

Willie
