Snow at Chichley

By BigCol
After the fall of snow on Saturday night I headed over to Olney first thing Sunday to get some photo's of the church in snow. On my way there I drove past the tree on Chichley hill and thought to myself "I'll stop here on the way back to MK".
Should have done it while I had the chance as when I came back the hill was covered in sledgers!
Managed to get this without any people though which I'm happy with.
Thanks for looking,
Col

Very nice work! Have you considered to crop 1/3 of the sky...in my opinion the image would be much more effective and balanced.
Only my personal opinion Smile

As you should be Colin, marvellous image in the snow. I'd lop some off the top I have to say, but it's a personal opinion. Love the beautiful diagonal.

This is so expressive of the winter solitude....although I realize people were really there I can picture this in the quiet of the morning.
I like the sky big....it creates the feeling of space and emptiness. Beautifully composed.

Did you take one from a slightly lower angle to put the tree more above the horizon - just wondered what it would look like.

That tree and hedge were almost asking to be photographed, weren't they. Well spotted, and well taken.

I agree with the crop suggestion, but all that empty sky is only a minor niggle.
