One of the best I have seen. These guys are difficult to get. Their enclosure is in permanent shade, and their cage adds a green tint to most shots. SO particularly well done!!

Wow - thanks for the lovely comments everybody. I'm really chuffed with this picture.

Maggie - well, we spent a fair bit of time watching the snow leopard - I used a whole 256mb memory card on them! hehe, but a lot of the pics were showing the caging and didn't feel right. Suddenly one of them walked to the ledge of the big stone and this is where I got this pic.

Bob... yes, the fact that their cage is in permanent shadow didn't help, but fortunately it was so bright otherwise that I managed to get this one on ISO400.

Some great shots coming from your meet today, but this is quite outstanding... I'd feel quite in the background with my little Fuji if i was there, but it is a great insperation to improve seeing shots like this.

Super photo, and great idea to present it like this. I agree with you - they're my favourite big cat. I'm looking forward to them having a new enclosure later this year, which should be better for them, and better for us too with windows rather than bars.
