Snow scene with figures

By SueEley

Two snow scenes - one with figures, one without. The nice people offered to get out of my way to let me get a clean shot, but they were such wonderful figures I was wanted them in. Should I have cleared more of of the tracks in the snow? And do you prefer V2 - figures, no figures seems to be very personal!

Two beautiful wintery images, image number two proving to be more appealing, great light and superb reflections in the icy waters

I prefer v1 with the figures in it, especially as all 3 have been well separated.

Version 1 for me for the inclusion of the figures.

Both have their own appeal, v1 for the figures and v2 for the contrast of the water and its reflections.

V1 with figures Smile
I had people 'get in the way' of my photos before and apologise to me... and I really wanted them in!
Nicely shot.

V2 with more contrast in the stream and the trees on the right. Just pleases my eye a little more. I may have cropped a little off the bottom though in V2.......Sandy

I did a bit of work on V2, using a gaussian blur layer at low opacity, blend screen, and removed the effect in places. I think some people liked the effect and others not! It tends to reduce contrast but give a more dreamy feel.
