Superbly moody. I like the focus on the lit area in the middle.

This illustrates the weather conditions perfectly. It doesn't need over-processing in my view.

Gloom with a hint of hope...more than good enough as it stands without messing about with it, Pete.

Atmospheric, moody, thought provoking and bleak. Great stuff Pete.

I like a bit of gloom! There's definitely something to be said for going out and doing landscape photography in weather conditions other than 'golden hour' sunlight...

This is Snowdonia as it really is: dark, wet - and with beauty striking through it. As Leonard Cohen put it, "even damnation is poisoned with rainbows".

Wonderfully moody and perfect as it is Smile

That shadow area is very heavy, and if it was mine I'd probably crop at least half of it , which to my eye gives a better division of space. But it isn't mine.
It's a superbly moody shot, and I echo dudler's comment which hits the nail on the head.

I'm visiting there regularly of late despite the six hour drive yo get there. only once this year have we missed the rain and mist, and the weather certainly does lend the mountain it's own sense of atmosphere!! Gareth.
