A lovely shot, Kate!
So well presented, as always!
Good idea to make it into a card.
I do that - I blank cards + envelopes; I print onto photo paper and, using spray mount, glue the picture onto the front of the blank card and trim with a Stanley knife;
I also print out an insert with a message on and, perhaps another image onto 80gsm paper and glue it, using a Pritt Roller stick(to get an accurate 'line' of glue), onto the inside of the card.
It's a bit of a bother but worth it to get a good result - if you get a 'production run' going it speeds up the process. A decorator's seam roller is a useful tool to enable you to get the card flat.
I don't print straight onto the card.
Have a good day,

Not so keen on the border, Kate, the vignette looks like blown highlights, sorry. Great idea re the cards, I've been tempted for a while but never found a system I was happy with.

Don't think this is one of your best Kate - it's the white vingette that seems wrong. Bet you'll come up with something much betterWink

Have to agree with Dave on this Kate, a dark frame or vignette would work better, like the sharp flowers.

The border in this is not a vignette as such, but a process done in Camera Raw in Photoshop.
perhaps I've used it to better effect with other flowers. See Tulip Time in my portfolio.
Great to get everybody's hints and tips re card making.

This is a lovely image Kate.
I always make my own cards and have started to use my photos recently,I buy Embossed window card,print on ordinary paper and then laminate them.
I find that the photo paper tend to scratch if you touch the surface.I think that making your own card gives someone a more personality card.
By the way Kate ,glad to see Clare looking so well today,I bet your looking foreward to the Baby, Smile

Not too keen on the border I'm afraid, it looks as though you've burnt out the edges! Sorry!Sad Still hats off to you for trying something different, I guess this is what one would term a "marmite" image!
