Fiona, did you mean to tick the critique wanted button for this one? Because, for the life of me, I can't think of a way to improve it other than perhaps the tiniest bit of sharpening ... I think it's amazing!

Very good in-flight shot.

Very hard to get sharpness as there are not many edges and not a lot of contrast/shadow, the talons and feet being an exception; but its all about the timing.

Loaded a mod anyway to try.

Captive bred may be better than captive bread, - I have some of that in my fridge!

hahahahaha predictive text! thanks sorted. TBH this is low res, and the hi res one is as sharp as im going to push it without creating nasty edges.. thanks for the mod tho

That's a good reason for putting your image into the Critique Gallery, Fiona, but not one we might expect. The trouble is that if the image is this good, some people won't bother to comment because they can't find anything about it to critique.

There's no reason why you can't be open about it, and use your Description Box to say that you are simply seeking confirmation that this is as good as you think it is, or something like that, maybe that sounds a little more humble, but you know what I mean.

Sometimes there is one tiny thing that can be altered to make it a wow image, but I don't think that's the case's already WOW.

Fiona, everything except the self-doubt makes perfect sense!

I know I'll never take a wildlife (or captive wildlife) shot anywhere near this good. And I appreciate the finesse this shows.
