Snowy Slopes

By 213hardy
Was quite surprised by the response to yesterdays upload, thanks to Meniko for her UA too.

This is fast becoming one on my favourite views of Richmond, looking west from the bottom of the Castle walls, towards the old convent. Can't help wondering, if this had been taken 50 years ago, how many chimneys would have been smoking.

All C&Cs welcome

Thanks for looking

Mono looks good, Den, very cold and definitely not Mary Poppins territory GrinGrin

A rather comforting image in many way, the smoke coming from the chimney reminding me of my childhood past growing up in the North East of England.

A classic Yorkshire view, the roof-tops, the smoke from the chimney. (Now that it's a rarity I love to see it). I think I want b&w, it's somehow timeless.

Roof-tops are so eloquent; here the covering of snow stresses the lines and somehow makes them look different.
I have a marginal preference for the colour.
