Snuff Cottage

By scotjames
This is Snuff Cottage in the historic village of Culross in Fife. It was actually the window that caught my attention. Around the top of the window it reads "Wha wad ha thoct it", which is Scots for "Who would have thought it", and the date 1673.

Now, I'm not tall (5'8" ish), but this door, like most of the cottages in Culross, is absolutely tiny. I would have had to duck to get through it for sure.

Incidentally, Culross is pronounced "Kooh-riss"

I like taking shots of doors and other bits of buildings and this would have caught my eye too. Smashing shot

Lovely composition
The colour of the door alone would have caught my attention!
