So You Wanna Be A Rock Star?

By jeanie
Attempting suicide online here, at a guess.

This is a version of my final image for my A-level at college.
The theme was "Altered Image" - digital manipulation and layering." One of the example Photographers was Catherin McIntyre. Well having seen grunge work on EPZ I thought I would give it a go.
I got my idea of "wannabe" on the day I went to see the Aussie Pink Floyd as Alex (the older lad here) was coming with us. He and his brother Joe are both excellent musicians so I thought that I would work on their dreams.

I shot everything here including the posters and cut paste everything.
The words are the lyrics to "So you want to be a rock and roll star" by The Byrds... topical Smile

Anyway I am waffling...
Off to hide now while this gets ripped to pieces

Well your suicide tag actually pulls up a few results when you search on it! Wink

I like the comp it is well put together, looking at it, only thing I might change is increase the blending in area for the far right figure, with the drumsticks. it's a keeper though.

Oh and rock and roll star with a saxon poster? surely not! Wink

A skillfully assembled composite, which clearly displays your control of the tools required for layering and blending etc. You should be delighted with the result, I know I would... best of luck in the exams...

well.. only two more weeks left and we are kicked from blackpool and fylde collge for good(they finally get their way). I will be sad to leave in a way, have got used to fighting the powers that be.
ps. a few in our class like the idea of joining the camera club in St Annes, may be we can keep something going
