Socially Distanced 35

By woolybill1
The graveyard beside Tynemouth Priory. Some of them are so badly eroded as to be unintelligible; only the thought remains.

Thanks enormously to Alan, Ollie, Malc, Leo, Marie, Richard (estonian) and Alfie K for geneorus awards yesterday, and to everyone who voted and commented. All contributions are appeciated.
Thanks for looking.

Over time the words erode and the person forgotton to beccome just a name on an Ancestry chart.

All things must change but just at the right speed.

Great image...

The words fade as memories fade. There comes a time when the words are gone, as are the people who knew the living subject of them.

Life fades as does the reminders of who they were.

Excellent, Bill.

I don't think the residents will be too worried about social distancing! Lovely textures in that stonework 😃👍

Interesting erosion, looks like they've been sandblasted. Excellent
image Bill. Very nice work.

Ok, enough of this dead talk. Lets all write a book of our life and print some pictures before our computers are dead. I do like how you went for shape Bill.

The problem doing Family Trees is the eroded gravestones. You can usually make out most of the readings regarding names, etc but if the dates are illegible, a wasted journey!
