Socially Distanced 49

By woolybill1
Hollyhocks beside a local footpath.

Socially Distanced 48 proved unexpectedly popular, so much so that my fingers are now crossed lest I leave somebody out . . . . Somnath awarded a GEA and there were UAs from Oliver, Paul, Chrissy, Alfie P, Ken, Leo, Dave (mistere), John (tralfamadorean), Janet, David (DeSilver), Sue, Joop, Paul (saxon_image), Alfie K and Ken (Rambler). Huge THANKS to them all, as also to everyone who voted and left comments; all very much appreciated.
Thanks for looking Smile

Like a Victorian portrait, wife seated, husband standing slightly behind.

I always think of this flower name as an expletive, as in , "Oh, hollyhocks!!"Wink

Beuatifully detailed mono study of a subject usually seen in colour, the textures and tones in the flowers really stand out, I guess because of the greater contrast used than in a colour image.

48 was a wonderful capture and a hard act to follow! But this is a fine follow-up, Bill 😃👍

Super, Bill. On first viewing I thought a stainless steel sculpture!

Flowers aren't an obvious andidate for mono but these do have a strong enough shape and texture to work. Aided by a fine moody presentation.
